EJC1On February 20, from 6–9 p.m., the Kyiv Committee of CSCI participated in the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Alumni International Roundtable’s sold-out discussion Ukraine: A Country on the Brink.

The Kyiv Committee worked to plan the discussion and arrange the panelists who participated in discussing the current situation in Ukraine. Speakers included Kyiv Committee Chair Vera Eliashevsky and Kyiv Committee members Reverend Myron Panchuk and Levko Holubec.

The Kyiv Committee secured the participation of the Euromaidan Journalist Collective, an independent group of young journalists and students from the United States that is documenting the Euromaidan protests and reporting in English and Ukrainian. They seek to creatively promote awareness of the Euromaidan protests to the English-speaking world through the eyes of the Ukrainian Diaspora.

The panel discussed the current situation, along with the causes and major players. To learn more about the situation in Ukraine, follow the EJC at www.projectmaidan.com.
