CSCI is sponsoring the University of Chicago’s discussion The Informed City: Data-Driven Approaches to a More Just, Equitable and Sustainable City at The University of Chicago’s Gleacher Center on Tuesday, March 4 from 1-5 p.m., followed by a reception from 5-6 p.m.

As a precursor to the World Urban Forum 7 in Medellín, Colombia, in April 2014, please join regional thought-leaders in Chicago for a provocative discussion about cutting-edge practices for realizing the global city of tomorrow. Leading public, private, academic and non-profit sector experts will share their insights on data-driven approaches to urban planning, design, health, education, water infrastructure and crime prevention.

Sponsored by the University of Chicago’s Office of Civic Engagement and the Global Engagement Office, in partnership with Chicago Sister Cities International, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, UN Habitat and the MacArthur Foundation.
