Osaka Committee Sponsors Japanese Language Speech Award

The Osaka Committee of CSCI sponsored the Sister City Osaka Award at the 28th Annual Japanese Language Speech Contest in Chicago, presented by the Consulate General of Japan at Chicago to promote the study of Japanese in the Midwest. The contest is held in the auditorium of the Japan Information Center on the fourth Saturday in March.

Danielle Parsons of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne received the prize. The prize was a round trip ticket and two-week home stay donated and arranged by the Osaka Committee and Misa Kido of the City of Osaka. Ms. Parsons recently returned from Osaka.
