The Hamburg Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International welcomed a delegation from Hamburg Police (Polizei Hamburg) to Chicago from June 20–24, 2015. The group met with various Chicago Police Department bureaus and exchanged best practices in several areas of police work, such as protection of large-scale events, predictive policing, use of interactive technologies, and other specific topics.

The delegation met with Superintendent Gary McCarthy on June 24 and discussed differences and similarities of crime prevention between Hamburg and Chicago.

The Hamburg Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International organized a cultural program for the group, which included a welcome breakfast at Lou Mitchell’s, a city tour, and an architectural boat tour with Wendella Boats.
