BOGOTA: Colombia Independence Day

The Bogota Committee of CSCI, in partnership with the Consulate General of Colombia in Chicago, hosts Colombia’s Independence Day Celebration on Sunday, July 26 from 11 am–1 pm at the Chicago Cultural Center’s Preston Bradley Hall. The event will include appetizers, a speaking program and cultural performances. Free and open to the public.

Film Screening of Vertigo Hosted by Star Kim Novak

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Chicago-Prague sister city relationship and Prague Days Chicago, actress Kim Novak, of Czech descent, returns to her hometown of Chicago to host a screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic 1958 film Vertigo at Columbia College Chicago’s Film Row Cinema.
