City in Transit: Hamburg on Film

From October 5 through 27, the Gene Siskel Film Center, in partnership with Goethe-Institut Chicago, presents “City in Transit: Hamburg on Film.” The four-film series celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the sister city relationship between Chicago and Hamburg, featuring classic German films using Hamburg as a backdrop to their story. All films are scheduled to be shown in 35mm prints.

The American Friend: October 5 at 3 pm and October 8 at 6 pm
Mostly Martha: October 12 at 3 pm and October 13 at 6 pm
Soul Kitchen: October 19 at 3 pm and October 20 at 6 pm
Absolute Giganten: October 26 at 4:45 pm and October 27 at 7:45 pm
