Coco Chanel Portrait in the “French Connections” Collection at the Sofitel
David Lee Csicsko’s portrait of Coco Chanel will be on display during the week of the Chicago-Paris Anniversary celebration, as part of the French Connections exhibit, on display from August 15–October 12, 2016. Throughout the exhibit, 24 of Csicsko’s modern and playful portraits of iconic French personalities will be featured, connecting a local Chicago artist to the French hotel.
Inspired by Csicsko’s colorful artwork, Café des Architectes and Le Bar will feature a special dessert and cocktail crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Anna Young: a Mick Klug Farm Cherry Clafoutis (a classic French dessert combining fresh cherries in rich, dense custard) for $10 and a Coco Chanel Martini with Ciroc Coconut Vodka, St Germain Liqueur, and coconut shavings for $14.
This event is free and open to the public.
This event is part of the official celebration of the 20th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Chicago and Paris, taking place from October 7–16, 2016 throughout Chicago. To learn more about other associated events, visit chicagosistercities.com/ParisAnniversary.
