Lithuanian Pianist Andrius Zlabys in Evanston

The Lisker Music Foundation (LMF), a non-profit organization that strives to present musicians from all over the world in concert halls throughout the Chicago area, is continuing its exciting 2013-14 season by welcoming back the “Grand Duet” on Friday, February 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the historic Nichols Concert Hall, 1490 Chicago Avenue, Evanston.  The program will offer a wide variety of brilliant works showcasing the musical and technical depth of the two performers; including Schnittke’s Suite in the Old Style, Beethoven’s 7th Sonata in C minor for violin and piano, De Falla’s Suite Populaire & Danse Espagnole, Chopin’s Scherzo No. 1, and Sarasate’s Introduction and Tarantella.

The evening features Grammy-Nominated Lithuanian pianist Andrius Zlabys and violinist and LMF artistic director David Lisker.
