Russian Dance Ensemble at Evanston Ethnic Arts Festival

  • Centennial Park, Sheridan Road at Clark Street, Evanston, IL

The Kundrinka Folk and Modern Dance Ensemble, direct from Moscow, will perform at the Evanston Ethnic Arts Festival on July 20.

Moscow’s Kudrinka Folk and Modern Dance Ensemble, represented by 19 of its dancers, is returning to the United States in July for several performances in celebration of the 40th anniversary of its founding in 1974.

A Kudrinka performance is a celebration of diversity of the people and cultural traditions of many countries. Kudrinka folk dances come from many countries of Eastern and Central Europe but also include Irish, Latin American and Spanish dances. Many of their dances reflect American tap, jazz, pop and even break dance traditions.
